# Leave type

In this screen we have 2 options, add leave type, and edit leave type

# Add leave type

To create a new leave type, fill in the mandatory fields. This includes:

  • Leave type name
  • Select leave category
  • Leave type description

Additionally, you have the option to specify the approval chain and custom form for the leave type. By clicking on the "Add New Tier" button, you can add entitlements based on the number of employment years. Each row allows you to define the entitlement for a specific employment year.You can add multiple entries by clicking on the "Add tier” button. To revert back to the default allowance, simply click on the "Clear tier” button.

# Edit leave type

To view or edit an existing leave type, simply click on the corresponding row. This will open a detailed view of the leave type, allowing you to make changes. In this view, you have the flexibility to fill in additional fields and customise the leave type further. If needed, you also have the option to delete the leave type.

With its user-friendly interface and customisable options, you can easily add, edit, and manage leave types, ensuring accurate and tailored leave policies for your employees.
